even those that don't) show up and tryout.

Prepare by learning exactly what the American Idol judges and producers
are looking for in a performer and then walk in there and give it to
them. You can't just show up and sing and hope that you make it.

Look up their styles and backgrounds, research other past performers
and how the judges reacted to them, what suggestions they made to other
singers similar to you, etc... Learn as much about the audition
